Intrepid Tops Competition, Wins Best of Show at 2015 Golden Spike Awards

Agency claims 21 awards; safe walking and biking campaign named Best of 2015

SALT LAKE CITY, Nov. 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Intrepid, a Salt Lake-based hybrid communications agency, garnered 13 Golden Spike Awards, including Best of Show, and 8 finalist honors at the PRSA Golden Spike Awards on Thursday, Nov. 19. The annual awards are Utah's most prestigious and recognize the best local communication campaigns and tactics.

Intrepid claimed more Golden Spike Awards than any other agency, corporation, government entity or nonprofit organization for the ninth consecutive year. It also marks the second straight year Intrepid was honored with Best of Show.

The agency was awarded Golden Spike Awards for public relations, advertising, interactive and social media for clients including the Utah Department of Transportation, the Student Neighborhood Access Program, Utah Credit Union Association, the Blue Boar Inn & Restaurant and The Road Home.

Intrepid received Best of Show honors for its strategic, integrated approach to promote the Student Neighborhood Access Program, which helps foster safe walking and biking to and from school across Utah. In 2014, Intrepid and the Larry H. Miller Group received the honor for their "Undercover Boss" campaign.

The Golden Spike Awards, sponsored by local chapters of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and International Business Communicators (IABC), recognize Utah's best annual communication campaigns and tactics. Award winners were selected based on judges' scores in the categories of research, planning, execution, and evaluation.
