Introducing Night Tap Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, July 26, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- We're excited to introduce Night Tap (www.nighttap.com), the new deals website focusing on drinks, dining and nightlife in LA.

With other flash sale sites offering everything from picture frames to cleaning services, Night Tap only focuses on nightlife – exclusive discounts at clubs, bars, bottle service, restaurants, concerts, shows, special events, charity galas and more. Deals are emailed to subscribers every Wed., with pop-up deals for special events hitting throughout the week, and all can be accessed at Night Tap's website. Additionally, users can "Like" Night Tap on Facebook or follow them on Twitter for exclusive offers and contests.

There will also be original content hosted on the site, including interviews with LA's top mixologists, food/nightlife bloggers, chefs and industry insiders, as well as a series of hosted, expert videos showing how to make LA's hottest couture cocktails, tips on pairing food with alcohol, stories behind some of the more unique cocktail ingredients, and much more.    

Kicked off in June 2011, Night Tap is the brainchild of 20-something Los Angeles native Kenny Kadar, an "adventure capitalist" who launched his first business in sixth grade. Kadar recently left a high-profile Business Development gig in corporate America to launch Night Tap, and "give people an excuse to go out". He also secured his old boss as an angel investor.

"I'm a serial entrepreneur, and have always been very social," Kadar explains. "I've used other deal sites and loved the ability to get a good deal and try different businesses; however I became jaded by the randomness of their offers as they often didn't apply to me." After reading an article in BusinessWeek comparing Groupon and Open Table, Kadar recognized an opportunity to utilize the deals business model and apply it to a niche. "The nightlife world was a natural fit because of my interest in going out and the relationships I've cultivated growing up in LA."

With recent and upcoming deals from SBE, Dolce Group, Supper Club, Upper West, Steingarten, Far Bar, the Dodgers and many others in the pipeline, Night Tap is launching in LA, with up to five additional cities launching by the end of 2011. Kadar's goal is to make Night Tap the go-to nightlife site worldwide, where people go when wanting to jumpstart their after-dark adventures. Subscribers can learn of cool new things to do at night in their cities, and get great deals to try them out. Vendors gain increased exposure to their target audience, and get customers in the door with no upfront costs.

As the site grows, the plan is to offer package deals on everything you need for a night out, from car service to a restaurant deal to a discounted ticket to a show. In addition, "Weekend Warrior" packages are in the works, which will offer discounts on hotel rooms and cocktails at weekend destinations like Santa Barbara, Palm Springs and Big Bear.

The site will also break the city into 5 "areas": West (Venice/Santa Monica/Brentwood), Middle (Westwood, BH, Culver City, West Hollywood), East (Hollywood, Silverlake, Downtown), Valley and South (Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, etc), so customers can find deals most applicable to where they live, work and play.

Like every young entrepreneur, Kadar wants the "freedom to control my own destiny. I want to have fun, too." And he wants everyone who's coming along for the ride to have fun, as well.
