Invenergy Announces the Hiring of Amy Francetic as Senior Vice President, New Ventures and Corporate Affairs
CHICAGO, Feb. 29, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Invenergy, North America's largest independent renewable power generation company, announced today that Amy Francetic has been hired as Senior Vice President, New Ventures and Corporate Affairs. Francetic will join the management team and report to CEO Michael Polsky. Francetic's experience complements a team with decades of entrepreneurial experience solving complex energy challenges and creating a cleaner energy future.
A clean energy innovation leader, Francetic was founding Executive Director of Clean Energy Trust in Chicago (CET), building it into one of the leading cleantech accelerators in the country before her retirement from CET in December. She has more than 20 years of executive management experience in the energy, wireless and information technology industries.
Francetic will help Invenergy source and integrate technology innovation into its existing portfolio of clean energy assets including wind, solar, natural gas and storage. In this capacity, she will lead strategic investments in emerging technologies that are synergistic with Invenergy's industry-leading development and operations platforms.
Additionally, Francetic will lead Invenergy's external corporate affairs, working to elevate Invenergy's brand exposure and position as a thought leader. She will focus on deepening existing relationships and building new business partnerships to further Invenergy's continued growth.
"I worked closely with Amy as a founding board member of Clean Energy Trust for six years and know that her knowledge of the clean energy industry and new technologies is unmatched," said Invenergy CEO Michael Polsky. "We are excited to tap into her expertise as we broaden Invenergy's business into new technologies globally."
Over the course of her career, Francetic has been recognized for her civic involvement and accomplishments in the technology and energy industries. In 2014 she was named Corporate Citizen of the Year by the Executives Club of Chicago. She has also been named a Green Award winner by Chicago Magazine, a Woman to Watch by Crain's Chicago Business and one of 100 Young Innovators by MIT Technology Review.
"I'm so optimistic about the future of clean energy, and Invenergy in particular," Francetic said. "I'm excited to help the incredibly accomplished team at the company bring affordable and innovative clean energy solutions to new markets."
