PITTSBURGH, March 12, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- An inventor from Irvine, Calif., has developed the EAR CUP, a device that permits a set of ear buds to be more comfortably worn while sleeping. A prototype is available.
"Some individuals fall asleep wearing ear buds, whether it's to block out noise or simply because music relaxes them. My invention will ensure ear buds remain comfortable and stationary throughout the sleeping cycle," said the inventor.
The EAR CUP forms a cover over the user's one ear when wearing ear buds while sleeping. It can be used on either the left or right ear. This device will eliminate the problem of conventional ear buds pulling out of the ear while sleeping. It will also prevent pressure from being applied to the ear bud when side-sleeping. This will increase the overall level of comfort of an individual sleeping with ear buds. This device is compatible and can be used in conjunction with most typical makes and models of ear buds.
The original design was submitted to the Orange County office of InventHelp. It is currently patent pending and available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
