PITTSBURGH, April 29, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- While pressure washers provide the needed power to remove stubborn dirt from a wide variety of surfaces, they can take their toll on the wrist and hand muscles of the operator since the trigger must be held in the on position constantly. Fortunately, an inventor from Monmouth, Ill. has come up with a less strenuous way to get the job done.
He developed the patent pending PRESSURE WASHER TRIGGER RELIEF to enable users to secure the trigger of a power washer in the on position. As such, it eliminates the need to hold the trigger in place manually during use, reducing the chance of finger, hand or wrist fatigue. However, if the wand is dropped, it is designed to automatically disengage the trigger to prevent injuries and property damage from such extreme water pressure. Thus, it is safe, practical and easy to use. In addition, it is versatile for use with any trigger shape found on most pressure washers.
The inventor's work experience inspired the idea. "When I used a pressure washer on the job, I used to tie the trigger in the on position with a cord," he said, "but realized this was dangerous since there was no automatic shutoff if I dropped the wand."
