PITTSBURGH, Jan. 7, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- An inventor from Houston, Texas, has developed the CART CALCULATOR, a device that is used on a shopping cart. It allows a shopper to keep a running total of purchases and the total cost accumulated prior to checking out.
"I developed my invention to eliminate embarrassing moments at the cash register when the receipt total is more than what was budgeted. This causes the shopper to remove items, which can be embarrassing," said the inventor.
The CART CALCULATOR allows a shopper to keep track of purchases. It eliminates the need to remove over-budgeted items from the check-out line, which increases employee compensation, decreasing revenue for the company. This will, in turn, spare the shopper embarrassment in a check-out line.
It will also spare employees from having to return items to shelves. It also minimizes the scattered and misplaced items throughout the store. This device will save consumers' time and energy as they shop, as it decreases wait time in lines. It is convenient and easy to use, and will allow shoppers to stay within a set budget. Additionally, it is user-friendly, and the price checker displays markdown, sales and/or discounted items for cost-conscious shoppers.
The original design was submitted to the Houston sales office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
