CHICAGO, May 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Palm Beach County Convention & Visitors Bureau, the official destination marketing organization for Palm Beach County, Florida, partnered with INXPO for an innovative use of technology at the PCMA Education Foundation Partnership Summit at PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
PCMA attendees were prompted to download the INXPO mobile app to their iOS and Android devices. The mobile app provided event details such as a list of attendees, summit schedule, and location photos.
During a demonstration, PCMA attendees watched from their location in Palm Beach Gardens as Douglas McLain, Senior Vice President of Global Sales at the Palm Beach County CVB, broadcast live from the Palm Beach County Convention Center on large-display monitors throughout the venue and directly to attendees' mobile devices through the INXPO digital event platform's live theater.
"I applaud Palm Beach County Convention & Visitors Bureau on their forward thinking and innovative approach to connect with meetings and conventions planners," said Drew VanVooren, Co-Founder and President, INXPO.
"This partnership with INXPO allows for a more engaging process between meeting planners and their attendees, as well as the opportunity for the meeting planners to expand their reach to new and different audiences," stated McLain. "Only 100,000 people attend the Super Bowl each year, but more than 100 million are glued to their screens at home. This technology allows planners to engage the masses."
INXPO provides a number of solutions to support hybrid events:
- Traditional hybrid event: a single physical venue, with a "digital extension" provided by INXPO.
- Multi-venue hybrid event: multiple physical venues, connected together with a "digital extension" provided by INXPO.
- Reverse hybrid event: a digital extension from a single location, broadcast into the primary event venue (the solution utilized by Palm Beach County Convention & Visitors Bureau).
