BOCA RATON, Fla., Oct. 17, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- With major growth plans underway in the Northeast, iPic Entertainment continues its remarkable expansion in Fort Lee, N.J., recently signing a lease to build an eight-screen, 533-seat luxury movie theater and award-winning Tanzy dining concept in Tucker Development Corporation's upcoming retail destination, Hudson Lights.
"This area of Northern New Jersey is emerging as a rich cultural destination, and we are excited for iPic to be a major social cornerstone for this market," said President and CEO of iPic Entertainment Hamid Hashemi.
iPic Theaters will bring its revolutionary cinema escape to Hudson Lights in Fort Lee, expected to open Summer 2015. This new, affluent mixed-use project is conveniently located at the crossroads of New Jersey and New York, situated near the entrance to the heavily traveled George Washington Bridge. Priding itself on delivering an "affordable superior experience" in the cinema marketplace, iPic will add to the offerings of the mixed-use development while serving as a destination unto itself.
"Hudson Lights is poised to become one of the region's foremost destinations for entertainment, shopping, dining and luxury residential opportunities, and we are extremely pleased to have iPic Theaters, along with the Tanzy restaurant, as the lead retail tenant for this dynamic and transformative mixed-use development," commented Richard Tucker, CEO of Tucker Development Corporation, which is developing Hudson Lights in partnership with Ares Management and Kushner Real Estate Group.
The new iPic Theaters at Hudson Lights will enable guests to enjoy their movie in ultimate comfort and style with reclining chairs, pillows and blankets. At the push of a button, guests can summon personal servers to deliver signature dishes or hand-crafted cocktails from iPic's in-theater dining concept, Tanzy Express.
Hudson Lights will also feature the award-winning Tanzy restaurant, an independent restaurant and bar destination situated adjacent to the entrance of iPic Theaters, presenting artisanal Italian cuisine in contemporary style for an unexpected dining adventure, day or night. A full-service bar will offer an exclusive menu of craft cocktails, Italian mojitos and show-stopping liquid nitrogen mixology presented by award-winning mixologist and master sommelier Adam Seger.
iPic Theaters at Hudson Lights will feature eight auditoriums with seating between 40 and 120 in an intimate setting. All auditoriums will be equipped with 4K digital cinema technology. All seats may be reserved ahead of time on iPic's proprietary reservation system by visiting iPic.com, or moviegoers can simply download the iPic app to their iPhones or Androids for a hassle-free, one-step transaction process.
