It Magically Snowed Last Night at Santa's Secret Workshop in New Orleans!
Amidst the unseasonably warm winter temperatures in New Orleans, a full blanket of snow fell upon The Mystere Mansion, home of Santa's Secret Workshop …The Family Event of the Holiday Season.
NEW ORLEANS, Dec. 1, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Located in the heart of New Orleans at 4800 Canal Street, there stands a grand mansion that plays host to a one of a kind holiday adventure filled with candle lit angel choirs, sparkling trees and a walk through, interactive, special effect holiday attraction sure to bring a twinkle in your children's eyes.
As you approach the snow covered grand Victorian mansion, falling snow magically appears from the sky and blankets the queue line. You are greeted on select nights by local school choirs in the courtyard that is warmed by a huge outdoor fireplace. From there you are escorted into the mansion where your magical adventure begins. "Our goal in introducing Santa's Secret Workshop was to create a holiday attraction intended to become a new family tradition in New Orleans like nothing else in the world… We wanted to bring back the old days of Christmas on historic Canal Street while incorporating a walk through, special effect adventure through Santa's World," commented Jeff Borne, Owner and Creator.
As you begin your adventure through the mansion, you are greeted by Santa's Winter Fairy who guides you through a magical looking glass. You find yourself and your family instantly transported to the North Pole, filled with snow covered Christmas trees and dancing polar bears. From there you meet Mrs. Claus who interacts with the children how Santa knows if you are "Naughty or Nice". Moving on, guests will explore the North Pole Mission Control Room where elves prepare and track Santa's Christmas Eve journey throughout the world. Borne added, "Among the numerous rooms and scenes we also feature Santa's Toy Workshop and the Toy Warehouse where special effects create the illusion of an endless hallway of toys, all in stock and ready for delivery by Santa. The Sleigh Den is quickly becoming one of our most popular scenes where Santa's customized twin turbo sleigh is parked. It's equipped with a fully illuminated GPS Navigation System with a Naughty or Nice Sensor and iPod Station. There's much more to see, but it all culminates with a personal visit and free picture with Santa in his elaborate throne room."
After the tour, guests are welcome to relax in our Candy Land Theater, where they can enjoy refreshments and be entertained by magicians and sing-a-long with the Teddy Bear Singers. Borne commented, "We have really enjoyed watching the reactions from both children and their parents as their faces light up with excitement. We really feel like we are on our way to creating a special family tradition that will be looked forward to each holiday season." Santa's Secret Workshop is an exciting adventure through Santa's World where kids of all ages will discover how Santa, Mrs. Claus, and the Elves make the magic of Christmas Eve happen ending with custom portraits with Santa. Sure to become a part of your family's holiday tradition, Santa's Secret Workshop rekindles your fondest memories... Santa Claus and his goodies, the enchanting elf Workshop, Santa's amazing jet powered sleigh, magical entertainment, and the twinkle in your children's eyes, enriched with a spectacular backdrop of joyous holiday scenes to cheer and warm the heart!
