NEW YORK, Nov. 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- ITG (NYSE: ITG), a leading independent execution and research broker, today announced that October 2012 U.S. trading volume was 3.6 billion shares and average daily volume (ADV) was 174 million shares. This compares to 3.6 billion shares and ADV of 188 million shares in September 2012 and 4.1 billion shares and ADV of 196 million shares in October 2011. There were 21 trading days in both October 2012 and October 2011 and 19 trading days in September 2012.
