Jason Peterson Named Chief Creative Officer of Euro RSCG Chicago
CHICAGO, Nov. 22, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Euro RSCG Chicago has named Jason Peterson as chief creative officer, effective December 1, 2010. Peterson most recently served as executive creative director at Translation in New York. In his new role, Peterson will report directly to Chicago Group CEO and President of Euro RSCG North America Ron Bess. Steffan Postaer, formerly chairman and chief creative officer, will become the agency's chairman following six years of creative leadership at the agency.
"Jason has done some great work for some of the country's biggest brands. But what really attracted us to him was that he represents the future of creativity. He understands the new dynamic that digital and social media have brought to our clients and I believe he can motivate our creative teams to come up with future-focused, big ideas in this space," said Bess.
As executive creative director for Translation, Peterson led the teams that created campaigns that brought together brands and music for the likes of McDonald's, Target, State Farm and Wrigley. Before joining Translation, he served as creative director and founding partner at Berlin Cameron and Partners. While there, he worked on Coca-Cola, Heineken, GM and Comcast, to name just a few clients. He's also spent time in creative roles at Fallon and Berlin Wright Cameron where he developed creative for such high-profile accounts as the NBA, Nikon, Volkswagen and MTV.
"Recently there's been a lot of talk about chief creative officers with a lack of traditional and digital knowledge, when in reality there aren't many forward thinking agencies. Euro RSCG has the best handle on new media and still knows the idea is what's essential. That's why they were the clear choice for me. Great creatives have caught up and what everyone should be looking for are people with big ideas," said Peterson.
