Jensen Dental Announces Release of Jensen WX Millable Dental Wax

NORTH HAVEN, Conn., Dec. 20, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Jensen Dental today announced the release of Jensen WX millable dental wax, a frame-based product for Jensen and 3M™ ESPE Lava™ Certified mills that helps dental labs save time and money and deliver higher quality restorations by automating a traditionally labor-intensive manual process. Jensen WX joins a market-leading portfolio of innovative materials for CAD/CAM systems offered by Jensen Dental, including Lava™ Plus high translucency zirconia and Lava™ Ultimate resin nano ceramic restorative from 3M™ ESPE™, and Jensen HT high translucency zirconia.

Dental wax is used to create a precise replica of a crown, bridge, coping or framework restoration that is ultimately rendered using metal casting or pressed ceramic techniques. Rather than creating wax-ups by hand using modeling wax, the dental lab technician generates a digital image of the model using a dental scanner and designs the restoration on a PC workstation using computer-aided-design (CAD) software. The completed design is then sent to the mill where the restoration replica is manufactured out of the wax block in minutes, saving time, reducing costs, and improving the consistency and quality of the finished product.
