Jersey City-Based Brand Positioning Firm Build n Blaze Presents: The Conference, an Inaugural All Day Conference in Anticipation of Super Bowl XLVIII Coming to NY/NJ
JERSEY CITY, N.J., Aug. 30, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- On Tuesday, September 17, New Jersey and New York City area businesses, community, tourism and civic organizations will gather at Fairleigh Dickinson University for a one-day, high impact event called "The Conference."
A first of its kind event, The Conference is open to any area business, community or non-profit organization interested in capitalizing on the economic uplift presented by the influx of over 230,000 spectators coming to the region in early February.
The Conference will feature speakers and workshops that provide information and education to help businesses prepare; as well as provide opportunities for attendees to network, learn about regional partnerships and gain insights on how to turn tourists into immediate and long-term customers.
"Economic opportunities like this don't come around very often, so when I learned that our region would be playing host, for the first time ever, to one of the biggest sporting events in the world, I knew I had to make the connections and create an event to ensure that our local and regional businesses would have the tools to maximize and leverage the dollars coming to our region," said Radia Funna, founder, Build n Blaze.
Speakers will include Soledad O'Brien, award winning journalist, documentarian, news anchor and producer; Tracye McDaniel, president and chief executive officer of Choose New Jersey; Wayne Hasenbalg, president and chief executive officer of New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority; and business leaders from the designated impact Huddle Zones, as well as experts in social media, customer service and economic development.
In addition, 10 percent of profits from The Conference will go to the Soledad O'Brien & Brad Raymond Starfish Foundation, which provides young women with a bridge between obstacles and opportunity, by giving them the resources to overcome barriers and reach their highest potential.
The Conference partners are Fairleigh Dickinson University, Advertising Research Foundation and Cvent.
