Jiayuan Granted Key Software Enterprise Status
BEIJING, Feb. 24, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Jiayuan.com International Ltd. ("Jiayuan" or "the Company") (NASDAQ: DATE), operator of the largest online dating platform in China, today announced that the Company has been formally granted Key Software Enterprise ("KSE") status under China's Enterprise Income Tax Law. As a result, Jiayuan is eligible for a preferential corporate income tax rate of 10% for financial year 2013 and 2014.
The preferential corporate income tax rate of 10% will be reflected in Jiayuan's fourth quarter and full year 2013 financial results, to be announced on February 27, 2014. For previous financial years, the corporate income tax rate was 15%.
Every two years, China's National Development and Reform Committee, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Commerce and State Administration of Taxation jointly grant KSE status to qualified applicants after formal government review to encourage companies to drive innovation through investing in research and development.
