Jimmy Hawkins to Take Over Leon Williams Contractors as President

KNOXVILLE, Tenn., March 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Leon Williams, owner of Leon Williams Contractors, LLC has named senior partner Jimmy Hawkins as the company's new president. Hawkins has been with the commercial design-build company since 2004, first as a project manager, then promoted to senior partner in 2014.

Leon Williams, previously the owner and president of Leon Williams Contractors, has decided to take a role focused on business development. Williams has worked in partnership with Hawkins for five years and will still be active within the company.

"Jimmy's leadership and diligence is a large contributing factor to the consistent growth we've experienced in recent years," Williams said.

Since his start as a project manager after he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the University of Tennessee, Hawkins has managed numerous projects for the company. He has been responsible for estimating and managing design-build projects that range from $50,000 to $2 million, including the Blount County Eye Center, multiple phases of work at Foothills Church, retail centers in Maryville and Loudon, the City of Loudon Maintenance Department, Carson Newman's and the University of Tennessee Chattanooga's cafeterias, and various brands of dining establishments such as Chick-fil-A, Starbucks, Subway, and Dunkin' Donuts on the University of Tennessee's Knoxville and Chattanooga campuses.

Hawkins worked steadfastly with the company and its vendors and a few years later, Williams made him his senior partner. In his new role as Leon Williams Contractor's president, Hawkins will take over operations, project management coordination, and client services.
