Jive Appoints John F. Rizzo as Chief Marketing Officer
PALO ALTO, Calif., July 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Jive Software announced today the appointment of John F. Rizzo as Chief Marketing Officer. In his new role, Rizzo will lead the marketing team and will be responsible for Jive’s overall go-to-market strategy.
John brings to Jive more than 25 years of marketing and leadership experience. During his career he has helped guide some of the most successful technology companies through start-up phases, major product launches, branding and marketing campaigns as well as acquisitions and other corporate transactions. John has raised over $150 million in private and public markets and was a key early-stage contributor to companies that are today delivering well over $100 billion in combined annual sales.

Prior to joining Jive, John spent the last several years as President and CEO of Zeebo, Inc.. At Zeebo he launched a new interactive entertainment, Internet, social networking and education platform for consumers in emerging markets including Brazil, China, India and Mexico.
John began his career at Intel and spent several years at Apple as Director of Macintosh Product Marketing. He also held executive roles at Oracle, Weitek, the world’s first fabless chip company, and Cahoots/Informative, a social networking and customer intelligence SaaS company. In addition, John serves as an advisor to a range of contemporary mobile and social gaming commerce firms in the Bay Area.
