Joel Harris Appointed New President and CEO of TLC
RALEIGH, N.C., March 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- ITOCHU International Inc. has announced the appointment of Joel Harris as President and CEO of Telerent Leasing Corporation, the parent company of TeleHealth Services and Avidex effective April 1, 2015. Mr. Harris, currently CEO of Avidex, has served in a variety of senior management positions at TLC since interning as an MBA student in 1996. His assignments have included Director of Corporate Planning, Vice President of Product Development, and Senior Vice President of Operations. Mr. Harris led several of TLC's acquisition initiatives, built the team that developed the ground-breaking TigrVue interactive system, managed operations in healthcare, corporate, and hospitality business lines, and provided front line client engagement with some of the nation's largest healthcare and information technology companies.

Mr. Harris holds a BS in Civil Engineering from the Ohio State University and a MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has also worked in engineering and strategic consulting positions with Marathon Oil, Ernst & Young, LLP, and Pfizer, Inc. as well as being a veteran of the United Sates Marine Corps.
Mr. Fleming is retiring from TLC after 14 years as CEO and 20 plus years of service at TLC. Mr. Naohiko Yoshikawa, SVP & General Manager, Machinery Division, ITOCHU International Inc. stated, "ITOCHU has great respect for the tremendous accomplishments of Mr. Fleming while serving as CEO of TLC."
