John Foy and Associates Introduces Innovative Mentoring Program Contest for Law Students
ATLANTA, Jan. 16, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- John Foy, leading Atlanta personal injury lawyer and founding partner of The Law Offices of Foy and Associates, has taken steps to ensure Georgia's future attorneys are well prepared for the careers that lay before them. In a stroke of inspiration, Mr. Foy and his Associates decided to create an innovative mentoring program and contest for current law students that combines networking with a look into the hard work and consistent attention to detail all licensed attorneys must adhere to.

The contest is an opportunity for law students to gain an inside look at the workings of a major law firm by blogging about the firm once a week for a year. At the end of that year, if all the goals set forth in the contest are met, the law students will receive a letter of reference from Mr. Foy – a huge aid in the search for a law associate position – as well as a sit down dinner with John Foy where they will be able to ask questions and take photographs with the press.
"I wanted to create an opportunity to provide current law students with an opportunity to get a leg up on the fierce competition they will face when they graduate law school while staying true to the nature of the law. I feel this contest is equal parts research and competition and will afford a wonderful opportunity for those who are chosen and complete the challenge laid out before them," Mr. Foy, a Georgia personal injury attorney, said when asked for comment.
The Law Offices of John Foy and Associates will be accepting applications for this innovative mentoring program from January 17th, 2012 until February 17th, 2012. Five students will be chosen to participate. Those chosen for the competition will be notified on March 1, 2012. All law students who wish to take advantage of this unique and wonderful opportunity should email their resume and an essay on why they should be picked to latkinson@johnfoy.com with the subject "Blog Competition Entry."
Law Schools that would like to participate are welcome to contact latkinson@johnfoy.com for more information.
