WAUKESHA, Wis., Aug. 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- John M. Teske, Sr., is recognized by Continental Who's Who among Pinnacle Professionals in the field of Non-Profit Organizations. He is the Council and District FOS Fundraiser of the District Committee of the Potawatomi Area Council with the Boy Scouts of America.
As one of nation's largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations, the Boy Scouts of America has been teaching youths the responsibilities of participating citizenship, building character as well as personal fitness goals for over a century.
Amassing over thirty years of experience, Mr. Teske's areas of concentration include management, fundraising, leadership and team building. In his district for the FOS campaign, he developed an audio/visual program that raised more money than ever before. John has also done countless research and even took a course at a Philmont Scout ranch on advancement. Following that, he wrote an essay on advancement that has appeared on the US Scouts volunteer website (www.usscouts.com) for the past ten years. It is the largest volunteer website on the internet.
A testament to his successes within the Scouts, John started a camporee in the nearby Kettle Moraine State Forest after convincing the Superintendent the scouts could plant trees in the morning and have skill sessions in the afternoon. It turned out to be a success with a thousand trees being planted in the morning by an average of over 200 scouts. Many territory fitting merit badges were completed in the afternoon while other scouts learned the skills that would be approved by adult troop members. The camporee lasted ten years and as a result of John's efforts, over ten thousand trees and bushes were planted.
A member of the National Eagle Scout Association and the American Legion, Mr. Teske maintains affiliation with his local council of the BSA as well as his local church and Philmont Rangers with his son Luke.
Throughout the duration of his collegiate career, Mr. Teske earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Management from Marquette University. He also holds a Commercial Pilot's License.
