ALISO VIEJO, Calif., June 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Since founder Ronn Teitelbaum opened the first Johnny Rockets restaurant on June 6, 1986, the California-based company has expanded its global reach, serving guests around the world with a signature all-American menu and unique dining experience. "Johnny Rockets is a destination restaurant," explains John Fuller, President and CEO of the chain. "Our concept was not intended to be on every street corner and in every strip mall in America. Instead," he adds, "ours is a comfortable, casual place that diners plan as an escape from other hamburger providers. We offer a distinctly American blend of highly personalized service, high-quality, freshly-cooked food, sing-along music from the past several decades and a lively kind of fun that is hard to find anywhere else."
With this announcement, Johnny Rockets will now operate in 28 countries, spanning the globe across North America, South America, Europe, Asia and Africa, as well as serving travelers on 11 Royal Caribbean cruise ships, providing visibility in at least 60 countries. With 28 years of global recognition, the restaurant concept offers a menu featuring hamburgers with various protein options, signature sandwiches and shakes that are lauded, globally.
"As we enter our 29th year, I am so encouraged by the continued enthusiasm and support Johnny Rockets receives from countries across the globe, from Honduras to the Philippines and now our planned entry into Colombia and Tunisia," explains Scott Chorna, Senior Vice President of International Development for Johnny Rockets. "As we continue to expand to additional countries, our flexible footprint and willingness to adapt our menu to the local preferences of each local population, combined with our unique All-American experience continues to drive our franchisees' success. We look forward to supporting franchise owners in many other countries as we continue to grow our brand."
