BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Nov. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The Ductile Iron Pipe Research Association (DIPRA) is proud to announce the appointment of Jon Runge as its new president, bringing Fortune 500 marketing expertise to the world of water and wastewater pipe.
Runge has more than a quarter-century of marketing and management experience, having served in senior positions at brewing giant MillerCoors and the American Water Works Association, the world's largest nonprofit, scientific and educational association dedicated to managing and treating water.
"Iron pipe, and now modern ductile iron pipe, helped build this country and I am honored to be joining DIPRA's team," said Runge. His appointment will bring new attention and awareness to the unmatched advantages of ductile iron on behalf of DIPRA, which represents eight member companies in the United States and Canada with more than 650 years of combined research and manufacturing experience.
"I look forward to representing DIPRA and its member companies who are committed to providing quality products while protecting the environment and health of tens of millions of Americans who depend on safe, clean water," said Runge.
