Journalists Richard Justice and Paul Hagen Join MLB.com
DALLAS, Dec. 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- MLB Advanced Media, the interactive media and Internet company of Major League Baseball, announced today that it has hired sports journalists Richard Justice and Paul Hagen , formerly of the Houston Chronicle and Philadelphia Daily News, respectively. Justice and Hagen, who officially began at this week's Baseball Winter Meetings, join the most comprehensive corps of baseball journalists in the world as part of MLB.com's editorial team, providing unique perspectives of the game in print and as on-air analysts.

Justice joins MLB.com as an executive correspondent after working for 11 years as a columnist at the Houston Chronicle. Prior to that, Justice spent 14 years at The Washington Post, where during his tenure he covered the Baltimore Orioles, Washington Redskins and Washington Wizards. In addition, Justice has served as a radio host and national television correspondent.
A Texas native, Justice graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in journalism.
Hagen, an MLB.com senior correspondent who has covered baseball for nearly four decades, was an award-winning national baseball writer at the Philadelphia Daily News for the past 10 years.

He previously was the Phillies beat reporter for the paper, covering the team for 15 years. Before joining the Philadelphia Daily News, Hagen worked as a beat reporter for the San Bernardino Sun-Telegram and Dallas Times-Herald and Fort Worth Star-Telegram, where he covered the Los Angeles Dodgers and Texas Rangers, respectively.
A former president of the Baseball Writers Association of America, Hagen was a finalist for the 2012 J.G. Taylor Spink Award, which honors outstanding baseball writing.
