Just Wood Wins Theo Paphitis' Small Business Sunday Award
BOGNOR REGIS, England, July 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
When it comes to entrepreneurialism and business advice Theo Paphitis has to be one of the most influential individuals in the industry. His commanding profit making identity has meant the Dragons Den retail magnate is one of the most recognisable faces on our television screens at present. When Theo therefore re-tweets a business-related message to his 360,000 plus followers, company elevation inevitably follows.
This is exactly what happened to Just Wood, a hardwood flooring company based in Bognor Regis. Last month Just Wood's partner Alastair Smyth tweeted Theo during 'Small Business Sunday.' In 2010 Theo Paphitis launched his Small Business Sunday (SBS) initiative, whereby each Sunday the investor and business mentor rewards businesses who tweet him and describe their business in one tweet.
Only tweets made between 5.30 - 7pm on Sundays are considered and reviewed by Theo and they must include the all-important #SBS. The business magnate then chooses his favourite six and re-tweets the messages on Monday at 8pm. The venture is designed to give businesses a boost and this is exactly what happened to the hardwood flooring specialists, Just Wood.
Something certainly caused the empire-building Theo to notice and appreciate Alastair Smyth's tweet, which read:
"#SBS In our 20th year and each year growing bigger and better while retaining our ethos to treat each customer as our first."
Treating every customer as if they were your first certainly is a great ethos for any business to uphold, a philosophy that Theo Paphitis obviously recognised and rewarded for its significance.
Following Theo's re-tweet, Alastair Smyth said that his phone went into beeping overdrive, informing him of Just Wood's sudden surge of Twitter followers. In fact in the wake of the highly sought-after Small Business Sunday recognition, Just Wood gained over 200 more followers on Twitter in the space of an hour.
As well as receiving an invaluable re-tweet to Theo's thousands of followers, SBS winners also have their full profile published on Theo Paphitis's website.
Talking about the buzz that the re-tweet generated, Alastair Smyth said:
"We are in our 20th year of trading and it's great for someone of Theo's standing to recognise and appreciate our company. It is a great boost for all the team."
Although it has to be said that this isn't the first time Just Wood has been recognised for its commitment to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
In 2008, Just Wood won the Customer Service Award in an event hosted by the Observer Newspaper Group. The following year, the English flooring company won the Medium Business of the Year accolade at the Observer Business Awards. In 2010, Just Wood was delighted to be winners of the Southern Business Awards - to mention just several of the honours the West Sussex-based flooring business has been awarded with.
Just Wood Flooring is one of the UK's leading hardwood flooring companies. From renovating old floors to exceptionally high standards to fitting new and state-of-the-art flooring, Just Wood specialises in all aspects of hardwood flooring.
