FORT WASHINGTON, Pa., Jan. 27, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Kappa Books Publishers, LLC ("Kappa Books") announced today it has reached an agreement to acquire the business, intellectual property and other assets of Modern Publishing, a division of Unisystems, Inc. ("Modern"), a New York-based mass market publisher of children's coloring and activity books. The transaction closed on January 26, 2012. Kappa Books plans to retain the Modern name and will offer the Modern line through a newly formed division of Kappa Books.
