Karen Musarra is recognized by Continental Who's Who
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Sept. 29, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Karen Musarra is recognized by Continental Who's Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in the Health and Beauty field.
Musarra's professional title is CEO at Victoria Park Academy, which specializes in high-quality education in the beauty industry. She has worked in her current position for the past eight months and brings expertise in new business development, strategic planning, innovative idea implementation, solutions architecture and finance to her role.
Victoria Park Academy started from my passion for fashion. Living in Milan, Italy, a global fashion capital, I became infatuated with the beauty industry. I got inspired by the vibrant environment at Piazza il Duomo and surroundings. There were models everywhere, big screens showing the runways, and there were makeup stands promoting different cosmetic lines from Kiko Milano to Estee Lauder. When I came to the United States, my partner Renzo Composto, founder and owner of beauty product Enzo Milano, gave me the final input to open the Makeup Academy.
Prior to establishing Victoria Park Academy, Musarra worked in a number of different business-related fields.
"I have experience in manufacturing and international sales," Musarra said. "While working for Neophane Spa in Milan, Italy, a company active internationally in the flexible packaging for the food and beverage industry, I successfully opened a new market in Portugal, generating additional revenues to the company."
Additionally, Musarra utilizes experience in communications. "While working for Promociones Telemaracay in Venezuela, I contributed in the development and implementation of the new financial system," she said. "I have also organized the Administrative department reviewed and ensured conformity to procedure set out in tax policies and procedures manual."
Musarra earned her Bachelor's degree in Economics from the Universidad Catòlica Andrès Bello in Caracas, Venezuela. She then went on to complete a Master of Business Administration degree in Economics from Fordham University Graduate School of Business as well as a second Master of Business Administration degree in Entrepreneurship from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Additionally, Musarra completed a Certificate in Marketing, Management and Industrial Markets through a specialized course at SDA Bocconi in Milan, Italy.
As she looks toward the future, Ms. Musarra is looking forward to growing her business and offering students even more opportunities. "I would like my students to have an international experience, for instance, to participate in the backstage in a fashion show in Milan," she said. "Therefore, I am looking for strategic partnerships in order to accomplish this idea."
To further her professional development, Musarra is a member of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce as well as the National Association of Professional Women, which named her as part of the VIP Woman of the Year Circle. When not working, she follows Italian and American designers, travels around the world, visits museums and support charities that focus on women empowerment.
