NEW YORK, Jan. 18, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- KCSA Strategic Communications, a leading integrated communications firm specializing in public relations, investor relations and marketing services, has opened an office in Chicago, further expanding its U.S. presence.
The office will be run by veteran journalist Stephane Fitch, previously Chicago bureau chief of Forbes. Mr. Fitch will serve as one of KCSA's managing directors, reporting directly to chief executive Jeff Corbin.
Mr. Fitch, 43, was with Forbes from 1998 to 2010 and was honored multiple times for his insightful and controversial business stories. He was a regular panelist on the weekly business and news program, "Forbes on Fox." Before taking the bureau chief spot in Chicago, he was head of the magazine's European bureau, a writer in Los Angeles and a reporter in New York. From 1996 to 1998 Mr. Fitch was a reporter for Dow Jones & Co.
Commenting on the opening of the firm's Chicago office and the hiring of Mr. Fitch, Mr. Corbin said, "KCSA has worked closely for many years with Stephane on stories involving our clients. We saw in him not only as a driven reporter and writer, but also a strategic thinker with a real appreciation for the nuances of real estate, investing, finance, legal affairs, manufacturing and many other industries. With Stephane joining KCSA's team, all of our clients will now be able to take advantage of his knowledge and relationships with the financial and national media."
"Whenever my work put me in touch with contacts at KCSA, I was struck by not only their passion for advocating on behalf of their clients, but also their extraordinary professionalism and care for my needs as a reporter and a storyteller," said Mr. Fitch. "In joining KCSA, I recognized that the financial media is enduring wrenching changes, so business reporters and companies need KCSA's unique mix of communication talent more than ever. As managing director of KCSA's Chicago office, I intend to bring this firm's special skills to new clients, both public and private, who want a more compelling relationship with reporters and the public."
Mr. Corbin concluded, "The opening of KCSA's office in Chicago is part of our firm's strategic and deliberate expansion into key markets in the United States. Last year we entered the New England market by opening our Boston office. In expanding our presence, we have identified veteran communications professionals who understand how our industry is rapidly changing and want to be part of the next generation of communications consulting firms. In hiring Stephane and opening an office in the Midwest, KCSA continues to grow and enhance its bench of world-class professionals who can provide our clients with comprehensive communications strategies – investor relations, public relations or marketing services – under one roof and in an integrated and extremely efficient manner."
