Transaction joins two seasoned firms to solidify robust offering for new healthcare economy
BOSTON, Feb. 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Kelley Habib John (KHJ), a Boston-based strategic brand activation firm, today announced its acquisition of Cambridge-based Seidler Bernstein, a healthcare marketing communications firm specializing in the medical device, diagnostics, and research industries. The move creates a healthcare brand powerhouse by joining extensive business and consumer marketing know-how in every segment of the new healthcare economy.
For more than two decades, KHJ has operated as a hybrid between a strategic consultancy and a brand communications agency, helping organizations realize their vision and drive business success by using proven methodologies to strategically activate their brands.
"We are delighted to welcome the Seidler Bernstein team to KHJ as we celebrate our 25th year and launch the next generation of KHJ," said Judy Habib, president of KHJ. "This acquisition uniquely positions us for growth in the new healthcare economy, in which increasingly sophisticated consumers will be driven to make choices based on quality and cost. We look forward to Seidler Bernstein's continued seasoned leadership alongside KHJ's own experienced team."
Terms of the private transaction were not disclosed.
"After 18 years in business, this wasn't a decision we took lightly," said Kathleen Bernstein, president of Seidler Bernstein. "But after realizing what powerful solutions we could provide by combining KHJ's depth of expertise in the healthcare provider and payor sides with our depth of expertise in medical device and diagnostics, it was an easy one to make. The new KHJ will have a 360-degree view of healthcare which will provide an integrated context that will benefit our clients. We are truly excited about the new opportunities that we'll be able to offer our current and prospective clients."
KHJ's commitment to working with organizations in a multitude of industries beyond healthcare remains as strong as ever—with financial services, technology and real estate among other areas of focus. The combined firm will be called "KHJ" and will be located at Kelley Habib John's current offices at One Constitution Center, Boston, with a new website to be unveiled in early March.
