Kelly Decker Promoted To President Of Decker Communications, Inc. Leading Business Communications Consulting & Training Firm to Focus on Growth
SAN FRANCISCO, July 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Decker Communications, Inc., the leading expert in consulting, training and messaging for business communications, announced today that Kelly Decker has been named president by the board of directors. Formerly the company's executive vice president, Kelly Decker assumes her new role as the firm focuses on scaling and growth. She succeeds Ben Decker, who will now serve exclusively as the chief executive officer.
The firm currently serves a significant percentage of Fortune 500 companies from their San Francisco headquarters, while expanding their New York City office. Ben and Kelly Decker are a dynamic husband-wife duo, and as Decker Communications' top executives they will lead the company together. CEO Ben Decker described the move, saying, "As we accelerate and scale our national and global reach, Kelly's role becomes even more critical. She is perfectly suited to increase her management impact while continuing to lead our consulting and program teams."
"Even with the increase of technology, today's business communications are not simply based on how often you tweet or post," affirmed Kelly Decker, president of Decker communications. "Face-to-face communications are still the most effective way for leaders to connect, influence and drive change."
As president, Kelly Decker will be in charge of scaling the elite quality of the communications training and messaging programs upon which Decker Communications has built its reputation. Among them, Decker Made to Stick Messaging, a course she developed in partnership with Chip Heath using the framework from his best-selling book Made to Stick, continues to retool the business landscape.
"Kelly's forward lean prompted this promotion," said Bert Decker, founder and chairman of Decker Communications. "As a keynote speaker and executive coach, her innovative approach to unlocking potential transforms business communications at the highest level. Her impact will be amplified in this new role."
Prior to joining Decker Communications, Kelly worked as a consultant for The Alexander Group Inc., a boutique sales management consulting firm. She also worked in various sales management and operations positions in the telecommunications industry. She holds an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley, as well as a BS from California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo.
