Kerasotes ShowPlace Theatres Will Redefine Silicon Valley Moviegoing With Two New ShowPlace ICON Theatres

CHICAGO, May 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Kerasotes ShowPlace Theatres, LLC announced today the newest locations in its 100+-year history—ShowPlace ICON at Valley Fair in Santa Clara and ShowPlace ICON at the Village at San Antonio Center North in Mountain View.

From the tasteful, sophisticated decor to the ultimate comfort of the Red Carpet Recliner seats, ShowPlace ICON will immerse guests in luxury from the moment they walk through the doors.

ShowPlace ICON at Valley Fair and ShowPlace ICON at the Village at San Antonio Center North will both feature 10 auditoriums with cutting-edge technology for both sight and sound and deluxe recliner seating for ultimate comfort. Each site will also house three ICON•X screens, ICON's premium large format with atmospheric sound. Exclusive VIP levels will be for adults 21 years of age and up only. In addition, both locations will be ideal for corporate meetings and events with satellite-conferencing capability and the ability to project multiple formats on wall-to-wall screens.

All seating will be reserved, so movie-goers will never face the uncertainty of not knowing where their seats will be, even for the most crowded performances. Ushers inside the auditoriums will quickly help guests locate their reserved recliners. Guests will be able to select their seats in advance through multiple platforms, including online and on their smart devices via the ShowPlace ICON app. Guests joining ICON's loyalty program, ICON EXTRAS Program, will receive additional benefits, including fee waivers, discounted admissions, concession specials and more.

Catering to the discerning adult audience, both facilities will have age-restricted admission policies and policies to encourage courteous behavior including required parental accompaniment for patrons under 17 for evening shows and a cease-seating policy once the features have begun. Adult patrons may also enjoy ICON's Lobby Lounge, a chic bistro and full-bar, serving the finest in alcoholic beverages and gourmet food freshly prepared from scratch. The Lobby Lounge will have seating for up to 130 guests.
