Keynotes, Super Sessions Set for Uplinq 2013 Wireless Ecosystem Conference

SAN DIEGO, Aug. 7, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Qualcomm Incorporated (NASDAQ: QCOM) today announced the keynote and super session speakers for the Uplinq™ 2013 wireless ecosystem conference, which will be held Sept. 3-5, 2013 at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront Hotel. Uplinq provides a cross-platform view of how to exploit the complete hardware-software system in today's wirelessly connected devices to produce the most compelling user experiences.
Dr. Jacobs will provide the opening general session keynote on Sept. 4, followed by Dr. Murthy Renduchintala, executive vice president of Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. and co-president of Qualcomm Mobile and Computing. Internet entrepreneur Marc Andreessen's fireside chat will take place on Sept. 5 during the general session. The conference opens on Sept. 3 with special programming for developers focused on coding and for hardware component suppliers.
Uplinq also features a series of super sessions designed to provide attendees with a focused exploration of the latest industry trends. On Sept. 4, Rob Chandhok, senior vice president of Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. and president of Qualcomm Interactive Platforms, will discuss use cases for direct peer-to-peer connection and communication among devices and apps in the Internet of Everything. Sept. 5 features three super sessions: Raj Talluri, senior vice president for Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., will review the latest features and capabilities of Qualcomm Snapdragon™ processors; Brendan Eich, Mozilla chief technology officer and the inventor of JavaScript (ECMAScript), will cover a wide range of topics, including mobile web standards, payment schemes, web notifications, the WebRTC open source project and Mozilla's Firefox OS; and George Staikos, vice president for Web Technologies at BlackBerry, will discuss the BlackBerry 10 Browser vision, WebKit, HTML5 and the modern mobile web.
