The fast-casual burger joint offers alfresco dining, new menu items and much more
SEATTLE, July 27, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Kidd Valley announced today that it will officially open the doors to its newest waterfront location on Pier 54 on Wednesday, Aug. 2 at 10 a.m. Located next to Ivar's Acres of Clams and Ivar's Fish Bar, Kidd Valley welcomes guests to experience the classic fast-casual institution with the addition of exciting new menu items and alfresco dining overlooking Elliott Bay and the Cascades.
"The new waterfront location is a great opportunity to introduce locals and visitors to our new look and feel while still staying true to our roots," said Carl Taylor, director of operations for Kidd Valley. "In addition to design updates, we're featuring new menu items exclusive to this location alongside our classics, which all utilize high-quality ingredients."
Fans can get in on all the grand opening action on Aug. 2 with a variety of can't-miss activities, including a ribbon cutting ceremony complete with a milkshake toast from Kidd Valley Founder John Morris. In addition, entertainment will be provided by The Done Gonners from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and an interactive photo booth will be available for fans to snap photos with a giant hamburger from 12 to 4 p.m. The restaurant will also be hosting a Kidd Burger Trivia contest through Sept. 3 where entrants will be randomly selected to win a prize pack which may include items like a Doug Baldwin signed football helmet, grill set, tickets to see Seattle's professional baseball team, Franz gift baskets, Golden Bicycle Tour from Seattle Bicycle Tours, Amazon and Kidd Valley gift cards and more.
To top it off, throughout August, fans can post a photo enjoying their experience at the new location to Kidd Valley's Facebook or Twitter page using hashtag #KVPier54 for a chance to win a $54 Kidd Valley Gift Card.
Customers can expect an expanded menu, exclusive to the Pier 54 location. Sample menu items include:
- Fresh cut, handmade fries using potatoes from Balcom & Moe Farms in Pasco, Wash.
- Chicken Club Sandwich featuring hand-breaded chicken, mayonnaise, crisp lettuce and juicy tomatoes
- Enhanced new burger seasoning with a secret blend of spices
- Healthy kid's meals featuring nutrient-rich sides such as apples, Go-Gurt and organic apple juice
- A selection of Northwest beer, wine and cider
- Kidd Valley purists can still enjoy signature items like fresh, made-to-order burgers, fried mushrooms, hand-breaded sweet onion rings and world-famous garlic fries
- More than 100 sparkling and still beverage flavor combinations from the Coca-Cola Freestyle machine
Patrons will find plenty of space to enjoy their meal as the new 2,866 square-foot restaurant features indoor seating for 82 guests and outdoor seating for 24 guests, making Pier 54 the largest Kidd Valley location to date. The restaurant boasts a mixture of retro-style aluminum chairs and custom designed wood tables and chairs utilizing the original reclaimed timber from the Ivar's Acres of Clams remodel in 2015.
Like other Kidd Valley locations with roots from an old Mt. St. Helens logging camp, the new Pier 54 location has a relaxed and straightforward Northwest style. Many of the design elements in the interior reflect the restaurant's origins as well as the grit of the once industrial waterfront. From exposed original columns and beams to organic textured table tops and expansive wall-filled windows, the dynamic new space is a unique blend of a historic 1900s building with modern materials showcased in an open floor plan. The restaurant has evolved to the present day while still holding onto its roots of delivering classic, no fuss, high-quality hamburgers, fries and shakes with a Northwest twist since 1975.
Kidd Valley at Pier 54 is open Sunday through Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. For more information, fans can follow Kidd Valley on Facebook (www.facebook.com/KiddValley) and Twitter (twitter.com/kiddvalley), or visit the website at www.KiddValley.com.
