PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 13, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Kids' Chance Awareness Week 2017 kicks off today, November 13, 2017, and continues through November 17. At Kids' Chance of America, we believe we can make a significant difference in the lives of children whose parent(s) have been severely or fatally injured on the job by helping them pursue and achieve their educational goals.
Collectively, Kids' Chance organizations have awarded more than 6,000 scholarships across the country, totaling over $18,000,000. Over the past two years, while scholarship applications have increased significantly, we know there are more students in need of assistance. Kids' Chance Awareness Week is designed to increase visibility and spread the word about Kids' Chance scholarship opportunities across the workers' compensation community and beyond.
There are currently 39 Kids' Chance state organizations and seven additional in development. Kids' Chance of America's goal is to establish a Kids' Chance presence in every state so that we can reach all eligible students. Find out if there's a Kids' Chance in your state.
Our latest video showcases some of the dedicated volunteers, partners and leaders from across the country who make Kids' Chance possible, and of course features the stories of some of our students.
We welcome you to join our community of supporters and help us spread the word about this great organization and our mission to support educating the children of injured workers. Together we can achieve our goal of More Money for More Kids!
