PEACH SPRINGS, Ariz., Sept. 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Kiowa Gordon, a Hualapai Tribal member and part of the Twilight series' " Wolf Pack ," has joined with Hualapai Tourism to offer his fans an up close and personal meeting while they enjoy the beauty of Grand Canyon West. Since playing Embry Call in New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn, Gordon's celebrity has grown rapidly but he hasn't lost the connection to his Hualapai roots. "I love my fans, I love my heritage. I take great pride in being Hualapai. Rafting the Colorado River and visiting Grand Canyon West will be a great opportunity to show my fans firsthand the beautiful land that my people come from," said Gordon.
Gordon is seventh of eight children. His mother, Camille Nighthorse, is an active member of the Tribe and also in show business. His Grandmother, Mabelene Mahone , resides in Peach Springs, the Capital of the Hualapai Nation. Gordon's Great Uncle, Weldon Mahone , actually helped grade the land for the project that included the original dirt runway at Grand Canyon West Airport, now one of Arizona's busiest.
