Prior to joining SpecOps Communications Kirt Rothe returned to the Department of Homeland Security as Branch Chief of the DHS's Glynco Training Directorate where he supervised and conducted applied research in order to keep the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) at the cutting edge of Law Enforcement, as well as serving as the agency's spokesperson in a variety of Law Enforcement topics.
Over the course of his decorated military career, which included multiple combat missions, Kirt rose to the rank of Major. He retired from active duty in 2010 due to injuries sustained from an IED attack in Afghanistan. From 2007 to 2009 he served as a Team Leader responsible for training and the tactical deployment of the Afghan National Civil Order Police. He served two missions in Iraq between 2005 to 2006 in support of Operation Nobel Eagle and Operation Iraqi Freedom. His US Army and National Guard service includes multiple deployments at bases across the nation with a maintained focus on training, tactics and protective services.
Prior to his military service, Kirt held positions at DHS, as a Special Agent with the TSA -Federal Air Marshal Division, as well as multiple law enforcement agencies. He holds a Master's Degree from the American Military Institute and BA in Criminal Justice from Chaminade University.
