Kitchen Magic Receives Acceptance Into Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program From U.S. Department of Labor
Kitchen Magic becomes 50th company in Pennsylvania to receive distinction from Occupational Safety and Health Administration
NAZARETH, Pa., July 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Kitchen Magic, the Northeast's leading kitchen cabinet refacing and kitchen remodeling company, recently became one of only fifty companies in Pennsylvania to be granted acceptance into OSHA's On Site Consultation Program's Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Company.
This distinctive program recognizes small business employers, "who operate an exemplary injury and illness prevention program," as stated by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. The administration continues to describe this special recognition; "Acceptance of your worksite into SHARP from OSHA is an achievement of status that singles you out among your business peers as a model for worksite safety and health."
Acceptance into the Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program comes with some bragging rights, in the form of a certificate from OSHA and the Department of Labor and some special recognition from the state. But acceptance into SHARP does not guarantee any company further acceptance. James Mayers, Assistant Vice President at Kitchen Magic, recalls the strict guidelines OSHA places on its members, "Think of it like a club. You have to earn your way in but can be kicked out at any time if you don't continue to achieve the standards that are set."
While acceptance into this exceptional program may be an ultimate goal for any small business, the real distinction for Kitchen Magic is recognition of the fact that the company constantly works toward creating a safer and healthier work environment for its employees.
As the company has expanded its manufacturing facilities, the breadth of products they manufacture, added equipment and employees, meeting and exceeding safety standards has become increasingly complex and rigorous.
Kitchen Magic's commitment to putting employee health and safety above all else has remained unwavering. This is proven by Kitchen Magic's stellar track record. The kitchen remodeling company has not had one health or safety complaint since its start over 35 years ago.
Kitchen Magic was founded in Allentown, Pennsylvania in 1979 by Jost and Reine Fleck. Today Kitchen Magic continues to be family owned and operated, now in the second generation and is the largest specialty refacing and kitchen and bath remodeling company in the Northeast, serving, NJ, PA, NY, CT, MA, DE & RI.
