KO - Jeff Fenech Gets Knocked out of the WSOP

GIBRALTAR, July 15, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Jeff Fenech put up a fight at the World Series of Poker, he didn't quite get to add another world champion 'belt' to his collection, but cashed in at the World Series of Poker placing 585th out of 7,319.

Cashing out $24,000, Fenech can still recall his bad beat earlier in the day. "I had my opponent covered and all in on the turn with the board showing 8d,10s,8s,Qd. I had Js, 9s for the straight plus a flush draw, and the other guy had As, 8c. The river brought the Ah sending me down to 17,000 chips."

Playing on the feature table with former WSOP champion Jonny Chan, it was tough but Jeff had some great hands to talk about "I pushed all in for my last 45,100, Johnny Chan made the call from the button. The blinds got out and we tabled our cards. I had Q,Q Chan had A,K. The flop came 8,3,4, the turn 6 and river 10. I hit a flush and doubled to about 95,000."

"I also bought poker strategy book during the break, not Chan's own book, 'Million Dollar Hold'em', and on the table held it up asking Chan whether or not it would help me. We ended up laughing at the TV table, as the hand was dealt - got serious and put the book away!" Fenech added.
