LISLE, Ill., Feb. 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- KONE has appointed Aaron Ites as senior vice president of New Equipment Business, Americas as of Monday, Feb. 1. As part of the role, he will be responsible for profitable growth of the new construction business in the Americas. Ites will also serve as a member of both the KONE Americas leadership team and the Global New Equipment Business management team.
Ites will oversee all new construction sales, field operations, research and development and supply across the Americas, with additional oversight in marketing and communications, major projects and project management development. Ites will ensure that the Americas New Equipment Business is closely aligned with global operations, engineering and support teams.
Beginning his career with KONE in 1995, Ites has more than 20 years of industry experience in sales, marketing, customer service, business development and operational excellence. He most recently served as a business development leader for KONE, shaping the elevator and escalator offering across KONE Americas and driving market positioning to deliver bottom-line results across the business. Previously, Ites resided in Brussels, where he led global sales and process development efforts for KONE. Ites holds a bachelor's degree in finance from Iowa State University.
