KONE Strengthens Position in Denver Through the Acquisition of Certified Elevator

LISLE, Ill., Dec. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- KONE has acquired the assets of Certified Elevator Co., Inc. an independent elevator company with operations in the Denver, Colo. area.  This acquisition adds density to KONE's existing operations in the Denver region.

Certified and KONE will be combining their elevator operations under the KONE name during the next few months.  "We are thrilled to be adding great new customers and employees through this acquisition," says Vance Tang , KONE EVP and Area Director for KONE Americas.

Certified Elevator Co., Inc., under the capable leadership of Tony Mateyko , has developed a strong customer base since their founding in 1986 with a demonstrated expertise in elevator maintenance, repair and modernization.
