NEW YORK, June 1, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Sports Technology Awards have selected KORE Software as the recipient of the 2017 award for "Best Technology for Commercial Returns." The annual awards ceremony referred to as "The Oscars of Sports Technology" was held in London on May 4, 2017. KORE Software's European Commercial Director Darryl Pugh was on hand to accept this prestigious recognition.
The Sports Technology Awards are among the most competitive of their kind, with submissions from 30 countries and more than 70 sports and 100 brands represented. KORE Software joins a long list of technology powerhouses, such as Microsoft and SAP, that have been recipients of Sports Technology Awards.
The panel of expert judges reviewed the level of innovation and accomplishment of the nominees and agreed upon nineteen winners. Among this year's thirty-two judges were Steve Hellmuth, EVP Operations and Technology, NBA; Scott Gutterman, Vice President Digital Operations, PGA Tour; and Maria Gigante, Vice President Events, NFL UK.
The judges took notice of how KORE's applications helped Los Angeles Football Club realize such immense sponsorship and ticket sales success in 2016, which was the first year of operation for LAFC. Factors influencing the judges' choice of KORE Software as the winner for "Best Technology for Commercial Returns" included user adoption of their Customer Relationship Management System, improving data integrity, elevating sales and fan relationships, and offering real-time pipeline reporting and transparency across multiple departments.
