LONDON, Sept. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Korn/Ferry International (NYSE: KFY), a premier global provider of talent management solutions, today announced that U.K. and London Office Managing Director Tony Vardy has additionally been appointed to lead the Firm's U.K. Technology Practice.

Earlier this year, Mr. Vardy joined Korn/Ferry|Whitehead Mann as U.K. Managing Director and Office Managing Director of the London office after 15 years at Spencer Stuart, where he was a leader and a founding member of the Technology, Communications & Media Practice in Europe.

Throughout his career, Mr. Vardy has worked closely with leading global technology companies and has conducted executive searches and succession planning projects for CEOs in the U.K., Continental Europe, the Middle East, South Africa, the U.S., Canada, Australia/New Zealand and Southeast Asia.

Mr. Vardy previously was an international consultant in communications and technology for blue chip U.S. and European companies.  Prior to that, he spent 10 years with British Telecommunications in the U.K. and the United States, as executive vice president of British Telecom Inc. in New York, and earlier, as group director of corporate strategy and managing director of cable television and broadband services. He began his career in software development and computer services.

Mr. Vardy is a psychology graduate, with an M.B.A. from the London Business School. He is a chartered management accountant and a fellow of the U.K.'s Royal Society of Arts.  He is a member of the U.K. Committee of the global Association of Executive Search Consultants.
