Kristen Bell Teams Up With Medela And Bravado Designs To Benefit Baby Buggy® To Support New Mothers In Need
The Frozen Star Donates $91,500 of Bravado Nursing Bras and Medela Breastpumps
WASHINGTON, Nov. 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Actress and soon-to-be mother of two, Kristen Bell has teamed up with Bravado Designs and Medela to make a generous donation of $91,500 worth of Bravado nursing bras and Medela breastpumps to expectant and new mothers in need. Bell's donation directly supports Baby Buggy, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing families in need across the country with essential equipment, products, clothing, and educational services for children aged newborn-14. In addition to her charitable contribution of essential items, the Frozen star celebrates her second pregnancy by giving back with a special baby shower. The shower will be hosted by Baby Buggy on her behalf in L.A. Forty expectant moms will be showered with support and invited to enjoy a day dedicated to providing a successful start to their breastfeeding journey. Each mother will receive an extraordinary level of care including sizing assistance from a Bravado fit expert to assure proper fit for their new Bravado nursing bra, as well as an electric breastpump and accessories from Medela.
"As a mother about to have my second baby, I understand the importance of having the essential tools necessary to provide for a newborn. Greater still, I am aware of the immeasurable value of having support systems in place to ensure success on this journey of motherhood. Anything I can offer in support and care to new moms in need remains a huge priority to me," says Bell. "I'm so grateful this partnership with Medela and Bravado Designs allows me to donate and contribute in significant ways by changing outcomes for the at-risk mothers that Baby Buggy strives so hard to support. I am honored that Medela and Bravado are hosting a baby shower on my behalf for some of these moms. Together we will celebrate these mothers-to-be and shower them with the supplies and support they deserve."
"Medela and Bravado Designs are pleased to partner with the very generous Kristen Bell to make this meaningful donation to Baby Buggy," says Bravado President, Tom Wolff.
"Through this donation, we are removing barriers by offering resources to help all mothers to provide their babies with breastmilk, the best possible source of nutrition," says Carolin Archibald, President of Medela, Inc.
Founded in 2001 by Jessica Seinfeld, Baby Buggy has distributed over 7.8 million new and gently used items from cribs to strollers to clothing and bottles, all of which are vetted for safety, to families in need across the country.
"We are thrilled about our ongoing partnership with Bravado Designs and Medela," says Jessica Seinfeld, Founder of Baby Buggy. "We are very proud of the incredible impact this collaboration will continue to make on families in need."
