In celebration of its love of coffee surrounding National Coffee Day (September 29) as well as gratitude towards those who protect and serve our communities and our country, KRUPS chose this time to activate a nationwide contest offering first responders and military personnel the chance to win a break room or kitchen area makeover, complete with new, high-end KRUPS appliances, including coffee machines, blender, panini maker and more.
This is the first year of the "KRUPS Appreciates…" campaign, which KRUPS introduced to show appreciation for the service and dedication of real-world American heroes across the nation including firemen, police officers, other first responders including emergency medical technicians, and active and retired military personnel. In future years, KRUPS plans to launch like-minded appreciation campaigns surrounding National Coffee Day by honoring deserving groups across a variety of categories, including teachers, social workers, volunteer groups and more.

The nationwide Break Room/Kitchen Area Makeover contest is featured on the KRUPS Facebook page and is open for entries through October 19, 2012. To enter, participants who like the KRUPS Facebook page simply upload a photo of their firehouse, precinct, response center or off-base military office break room or kitchen area along with a caption that is 20 words or less describing why their team is most deserving of the grand prize, worth up to $2,999 in KRUPS appliances. What's more, during the contest period, five entrants will be randomly selected to win a brand new KRUPS Cup on Request coffee machine, along with ready-to-brew beans from Don Francisco's Coffee.
