Lark Health Names Sharon Rapoport Vice President of Data Science

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Oct. 30, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Lark Health, the leader in chronic disease prevention and management using A.I. counseling, announces the appointment of Dr. Sharon Rapoport as its Vice President of Data Science.

The addition comes at a time when Lark is growing rapidly. Since becoming one of the fastest growing CDC-Recognized Diabetes Prevention Program providers in the country after launching in 2017, three out of the top five national payors and dozens of self-insured employers have chosen Lark's A.I. chronic care platform based on its proven, scalable outcomes and member engagement for managing multiple disease states.

Sharon will be responsible for overseeing Lark's Data Science team and expanding the broad platform's A.I learning to impact even greater positive change in members, while supporting the constant improvement of the company's diabetes, hypertension, and prediabetes products and services. She will report directly to Chief Technology Officer Jeff Zira.

Dr. Rapoport joins Lark from TripAdvisor, where her leadership on the Data Science team played a key role in driving their intelligent recommendations, pricing, and marketing. Prior to TripAdvisor, Sharon was employee #5 and the first data scientist at Plaid (Google Ventures and NEA-backed), where she used massive amounts of financial data to make predictions and build products and where she was integral to the launch of their income verification product. Dr. Rapoport has her BSc in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and her Ph.D in Astrophysics from the Australian National University, where she worked under the supervision of a Nobel Prize winner in physics. Sharon received her pilot training in the Israeli Air Force, where she was also a member of an elite signal intelligence unit.
