Laser Prostate Centers of America has a multidisciplinary team of urologists and radiologists who evaluate each patient and discuss potential treatment options including focal laser ablation (FLA). The multidisciplinary approach allows patients to fully understand their diagnosis and treatment options to make more educated and informed decisions regarding their care.
Founded to help educate, diagnose, and treat men suffering from prostate cancer, LPCA offers the latest in diagnostics and image-guided treatments. Low grade prostate cancer treatment has long included active surveillance and more aggressive treatments such as radical prostatectomy and radiation. LPCA provides another option: focal treatment. Focal laser ablation for prostate cancer has advantages over traditional treatment. Not only is it a quick, minimally-invasive procedure, FLA is designed to target the cancerous area without damaging the entire prostate gland. The reduced risk of side effects including incontinence and impotence is a huge advantage of the treatment.
