Lasting Launches #GiveLastingLove Campaign To Strengthen Marriages Across America

NEW YORK, Feb. 5, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Lasting, the relationship counseling company, is going to lower the divorce rate in America by making relationship help dramatically more accessible. Today, Lasting is kicking off a season of giving with its #GiveLastingLove campaign. For every couple that subscribes to the category-leading Lasting app in the month of February, the company will donate a subscription through its partnership with Family First, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening families.

Marriage is profoundly important to couples, families and society. While there are many types of couples at risk for divorce, research shows that those with the highest risk are low-income families, who typically have greater relationship strain and cannot afford access to the right resources. According to the American Community Survey, 46 percent of adults whose income is below the 20th percentile have been divorced, while 30 percent of middle-and upper-class adults whose income is above the 50th percentile have been divorced.

"In today's marriages, partners expect each other to provide the same amount of emotional support that was once given by an entire community," said Steven Dziedzic, founder of Lasting. According to research, on average, couples do not seek marriage counseling until six years after noticing a significant issue.
