Latest X-Win32 Release Simplifies X Windows Emulation Access to Remote Unix and Linux Software
SUNNYVALE, Calif., Aug. 1, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- StarNet Communications Corp, (http://www.starnet.com) a leading publisher of remote Linux and Unix visualization solutions today launched X-Win32 version 18, the latest in the company's nearly 30-year-old flagship X Windows emulator. Version 18 simplifies the user experience and adds the latest encryption technology.
With v18, users have easier access to key functions, including license management, and copying/pasting data and graphics between Windows PCs and remote Linux and Unix servers. Additionally, taskbar icons now allow users to instantly see all active sessions they have running.
"The new user interface brings up sessions with just two clicks of the mouse; one to select a session from the list and a second to launch it," said Steven Schoch, StarNet co-founder and Chief Executive Officer. "X-Win32 has always been the most user-friendly X server and this takes simplicity to the next level."
X-Win32 is the only X Windows emulator that ships with a built-in SSH encryption engine, and version 18 includes an updated encryption module based on the latest PuTTY encryption code.
At about half the cost of competing commercial solutions, X-Win32 continues to lead the market in innovation, performance and capabilities. Due to its powerful 2D and 3D (OpenGL) rendering capability the X11 client for Windows has also become widely used in the most demanding areas of CAD/CAM/EDA engineering such as defense/aerospace, astrophysics, semiconductor design, geophysics (energy exploration) and space exploration where both NASA and ESO (European Space Agency) deploy X-Win32 throughout their operations.
