Latium, the World's First Decentralized Tasking Platform, Adds John McAfee in an Advisory Role
MADISON, Miss., Sept. 7, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- John McAfee, Founder of McAfee Anti-Virus and Chief Cybersecurity Visionary for MGT Capital Investments Inc., has joined the Latium team in an advisory role. McAfee, with over 4 decades experience, brings extensive technical knowledge and expertise to the Latium project. McAfee has long since been a proponent of decentralization and blockchain technology, so the partnership between himself and Latium, an Ethereum-based decentralized tasking platform, is a perfect match.
"The Latium project is one that has immense potential and a real-world application," said McAfee. "Disruptive technology is the future and Latium provides the means to disrupt current labor structures and create a truly open and fair labor market for the entire globe."
Across the globe, there are those who possess skills which are desirable for potential employers. These members of the global labor market are divided into pools based on local, regional and national regulations. This division causes issues for both employers, being unable to find qualified labor, and employees, being unable to find consistent work to earn a decent income.
"Latium is a paradigm shift in how labor functions on a global scale," says Founder and CEO, David Johnson. "We break down the barriers of local and national regulation and create a truly free open market where anyone can participate. Using Latium will allow workers to get fair wages for their effort and creates a labor pool for employers all while providing true demand for crypto currencies outside of pure speculation. Easy access via iOS, Android and Web help mitigate the normal learning curve associated with crypto currencies."
Latium touts itself as a "token with a purpose." The LAT ERC20 token is the only form of payment within the Latium tasking system, thus giving the token a true market value instead of value based on pure speculation. The ability of the Latium platform to facilitate one-to-many relationships provides the everyday person with the opportunity to hire one person or many thousands of people to complete a task. This can range anywhere from gaining more social media influence to organizing a rally for a cause they believe in. This type of connectivity is unprecedented in the digital tasking platform arena.
The Latium Platform release is expected in mid-2018.
