Launchpad Names Industry Veteran Tom Lamb As Chief Marketing Officer
NEW YORK, May 12, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- New York based advertising agency, Launchpad, announced today the appointment of Tom Lamb to the executive role of Chief Marketing Officer, a new position. Tom brings over 25 years of experience to Launchpad, having spent time on both the client and agency sides of the business. As CMO, Tom will focus largely on new business development for the 65-person independent shop as well as enhancing its social media content program. In addition, Tom will manage internal operations, including the creation of an employee education program that will strengthen the learning and experience across all disciplines within the agency. Tom joins the executive team alongside its three managing partners; Co-Founders Scott Elser and David Low and Executive Creative Director, Noah Ross.
Tom comes to Launchpad after 8 years at Merkley+Partners as Executive Group Account Director on the AXA Equitable, Lending Tree, TicTac, Nutella and PSEG accounts. He helped lead award-winning work including AXA's "800lb Gorilla" and Lending Tree's "Lenny " campaigns. Before Merkley+Partners, Tom spent 9 years at McCann Erickson, NY, where he was Senior Vice President / Group Account Director. During his tenure, Tom managed the global launch of the famed "Priceless" campaign for MasterCard and also managed the agency's Intel, JPMorgan, Bacardi and Constellation Energy accounts. Prior to agency life Tom worked on the client side, first as the National Advertising Manager for Prudential Financial followed by a 5-year run at AT&T as Group Marketing Communications Manager.
