SAINT LOUIS, May 3, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Cepia, LLC is pleased to announce that the lawsuit filed against it by Jason Heller in the District Court for the Northern District of California (Case No. CV11-01146 JSW (MEJ)) has been dismissed in its entirety with prejudice against Mr. Heller. In the lawsuit, Mr. Heller had alleged that Cepia misappropriated the idea for its popular ZhuZhu Pets® product line from him. After having reviewed over 20,000 pages of development documents produced by Cepia, Mr. Heller admitted on a Stipulation filed with the District Court that he could not find any evidence that Cepia had access to Mr. Heller's alleged idea for a similar product; that Cepia had independently developed the ZhuZhu Pets® product line; since Cepia had not engaged in any wrongdoing, he would not receive any compensation from Cepia and that the lawsuit should be dismissed with prejudice. The successful resolution of this lawsuit is in keeping with Cepia's committed effort to vigorously defend itself against unfounded claims of wrongdoing. Cepia has and will continue to protect and defend its reputation, as well as its products and brands.
