"Over the past six years, Jack has driven the transformation of Layered Tech from a dedicated transactional hosting company to a leader in delivering managed compliant hosting solutions. We are greatly appreciative of his tremendous contributions to the company," said Ben Bisconti, a Board member and Managing Director at Accel-KKR, Layered Tech's lead investor. He added, "Jack has built a world-class team at Layered Tech and, through both acquisitions and organic growth, has added high quality professionals, customers and product offerings to help establish the company's current leadership position in delivering complex managed solutions to commercial and federal clients." Finlayson will continue as a Senior Advisor to Chatterley and the Board.
Bruce Chatterley is a growth-oriented leader, and he brings a wealth of relevant experience to Layered Tech. Most recently, he held the position of President and CEO of Broadvox. Prior to joining Broadvox, he was President of Business Markets at Megapath, Inc., a nationwide Competitive Local Exchange Carrier. He helped to create Megapath by co-leading the three-way merger and integration of Covad, Speakeasy, and Megapath. Prior to Megapath, he was President and CEO of Speakeasy where he led the company through a significant growth phase and directed a major strategic shift -- including its ultimate sale to Best Buy, Inc. in 2007.
"Layered Tech is extremely well-positioned in an exciting and growing market. I am impressed with the team and the quality of service offerings the company is able to deliver to its customers," said Chatterley. "I am honored to have the opportunity to lead this organization, and I look forward to working with Layered Tech's talented professionals to drive the next phase of the company's growth."
Mr. Chatterley has over 25 years of domestic and international high-tech and telecommunications experience. Previous leadership positions include CEO of ViAir, a Seattle developer of carrier-based mobile messaging software; and President of eServices & Small/Middle Markets for Concur Technologies, a developer of web-based travel and entertainment expense management applications. Bruce's background also includes several executive positions with Ameritech Corporation , US West , General Electric and IBM.
